In this hyper-online era, no one embodies the moment more than OsamaSon.Osama's rise began in early 2023, during a lull in music shaped by TikTok burnout, formulaic underground acts, and a stalled pop scene. His fresh take on the darkplugg revival, paired with an infectious personality seen in Thriller snippets and IG Lives, earned him a loyal fanbase. By July 21, 2023, his debut mixtape Osama Season had made him a viral sensation. He followed it up with Flex Musix that December and a deluxe in February 2024.
He spent 2024 on a sold-out US tour, hit major summer festivals, and launched a European tour that fall, all while dropping singles that led to his debut album, Jump Out. Though leaked a month early, the album still debuted at No. 151 on the Billboard 200 in January 2025, earning an 8.2 from Pitchfork and a Best New Music nod. A 20-stop headlining tour followed in spring with OhSxnta and 1oneam.
Osama kept momentum going with the “Ref” video in April and a feature on Che’s Rest In Bass in July. Now, he's teasing his next project, Psykotic, through livestreams, fan pages, and live sets. Without industry backing or major co-signs, OsamaSon is leading a new era of rap: driven by online culture, independence, and nonstop output.
