Virginia Woolf is considered one of the greatest authors of the modernist movement as well as an essential thinker in 20th century feminism. Orlando, Woolf's third novel tells the story of a young man who, as a teen, serves in the court of Elizabeth I and remains in service to the crown for many years. At around the age of 100, Orlando transforms into a woman and continues traveling Europe and migling with famous people of the age. The book continues telling the story of Orlando's life up October 11, 1928, the day this book was published.
