Jorge Alabe will start a new round of classes presenting dance steps and songs for the Orixas from the Candomble tradition of Brazil, beginning Oct 5.This 4-class series on Sunday afternoons is held in person in Oakland, CA.
People of all levels of experience are invited to participate, and new people are always welcome to join.
4-class series on Oct 5, 12, 19, & 26, 3:30-4:45 pm
$100 for the series
Advance registration required (not a drop-in class)
(Be sure to notice the dates; not all classes are on consecutive weeks in this series.)
Jorge Alabe was raised in the Candomble house in Brazil, and brings his lifetime of experience and authority in sharing Orixa dance movement as practiced in this tradition. He teaches the fundamental connections between drum rhythms, songs, and dance movements. With live drum accompaniment.
