If you've ever thought that you couldn't read a map, join us for a fun day of orienteering in the great outdoors and discover that you can!Join our one day beginner workshop led by our experienced coaches and gain the skills and confidence to navigate with a map.
This fun day teaches you the basics of orienteering including:
o Understanding an orienteering map
o Using a compass
o Techniques to navigate a course on a map
By the end of this day you will have the skills and confidence to take part in an orienteering event. There are 3 active clubs in the Edinburgh area, as well as clubs slightly further afield covering East Lothian, the borders, Forth Valley and Fife - so plenty to choose from!
No prior knowledge or experience required – just a sense of adventure. All physical activity at whatever level you choose.
