Many people that we see here in the park believe they have a “bad” sense of direction or will simply NEVER be able to navigate without the help of GPS. Well.. It's actually pretty simple! Determine your intended path of travel, align your north with the grid lines on the map, calculate your distance, acquire a landmark and off you go. Navigating an area using only a map and a compass is just that easy. Meet at the Tennis Courts by the Trading Post and we'll teach you!Maps and compasses will be supplied. This is a 2 hour program with moderate off-trail hiking.
$10 program fee. Parking pass required.
