Orienteering 101! (10-14Yr Olds)

Orienteering is an incredibly important life skill which allows you to read maps and navigate confidently. In this short crash course, you will be taught the basics of this crucial soft skill.

This event is for youths between the ages of 10 and 14 years old. You can look forward to fun ice breaker games, an expert crash course in orienteering and a chance to try out your newfound skills in an adventure race style quest! Small activities are set at each checkpoint, such as knot tying, teamwork games, and more! Join us to experience the joy of adventuring in the outdoors!

Learning Objectives:

This course allows participants to:

1. Grasp basic navigation skills
2. Experience the great outdoors
3. Learn some essential camp craft skills
4. Bond with new people, and strengthen teamwork skills
5. Gain confidence in unfamiliar situations

This workshop is helmed by a passionate team of students from Nanyang Outdoors Club(@ny.outdoor on Instagram), a CCA from Nanyang Girls’ High School championing love for the outdoors!
