Author of Organizing Occupy Wall Street: This is Just Practice (2023), NY-based activist, organiser and filmmaker Marisa Holmes goes into conversation with Melbournian activist, historian and musician Iain McIntyre, author of books such as How to Make Trouble and Influence People (2014) and Environmental Blockades: Obstructive Direct Action (2021).Marisa and Iain will talk about the good, bad, and ugly of the OWS moment — what worked and what didn’t, the lessons and potential for future change. Both are master storytellers: ‘it is imperative that we tell our own stories, from the streets, and keep radical history alive’ (Holmes).
