Music at St. Luke's welcomes organist, Deke Polifka, Director of Music Old St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Charlottesville, Va., to perform a pre-evensong recital on the Alston Memorial Organ. His Pentecost-inspired program includes music by Cecilia McDowall, Herbert Sumsion, Adolphus Hailstork, Gerre Hancock, and Maurice Duruflé. Following the recital, the Adult Choir offers a service of Choral Evensong for the Feast of Pentecost with music by Peter Aston, Eleanor Daley, Edward Elgar, and Charles Wood.
A reception follows in Budd Hall.
