Have you ever wondered how the Orchard works, wanted to learn some sustainable/organic growing skills, or wanted to make friends while volunteering outside for a sustainably delicious cause?As we transition into the active growing and cultivation season, we're offering an Orchard Volunteer Callout on Saturday, April 18th from 12-1pm, to help community members learn more about the Orchard, our history and plans for the future, get an educational tour of the site, ask questions, and learn more about how to get involved this year. Drinks and snacks will be provided, and our weekly Work & Learn Day will begin at 1pm for anyone interested in sticking around to help. In general, we provide all the tools, supplies, and instructions, and we simply ask that community members dress appropriately to do outdoor work and bring water to stay hydrated.
Orchard Volunteer Callout Schedule:
1. Welcome & General Orientation (to the Community Orchard)
2. Orchard Tour (with Q&A)
3. Volunteer Opportunities (Work & Learn Days, internships, team and other roles, etc.)
