Are you curious about the fascinating world of birds in your local community? Grab your binoculars and join us for an exciting birdwatching walk through the Oak Ridges Corridor. Whether you're a seasoned birder or a newbie, you'll sharpen your skills and learn key traits to identify the birds you’ll encounter on your next adventure. Together, we'll explore a natural area within your community and deepen our appreciation for the birds around us.

This event is intended for Ages 6+:

  • Beginner level information
  • Activities and concepts that are friendly for all ages
  • Intended audience includes children, youth, and adults
  • Trail difficulty (10 being the most difficult): /10

Price: Free

The Oak Ridges Corridor Conservation Reserve (ORCCR) is a 175-plus hectare property located in Richmond Hill. It is home to forests, wetlands, meadows, kettle lakes, and parts of the the Humber River. Did you know the Humber River was designated to the Canadian Heritage Rivers System in 1999? These ORCCR events are part of a series of hikes to encourage Richmond Hill residents to get out in their community and learn more about the rich history and importance of the Humber River.

Cancellation Policy: The event will run rain or shine, but will be cancelled if there is a significant chance of thunderstorms or other hazardous weather. Registrants will be emailed by 7:30 AM on the day of the event if there is a cancellation. Please direct any questions regarding the cancellation policy for this event to [email protected].
