About this Event
This event includes two short plays featuring stories of love, loss and occasional booze. Enjoy humor and a guide to dealing with messy emotions, overwhelming feelings of stress and staying on this crazy wheel of life. Author Diane Bostick moved through the loss of her artist brother, who died by suicide, by developing his art into framed pieces and coloring books. Her short one-act, "Opposite Ends", uses stand-up comedy and facts from police reports, weaving a surprising twist to the process of loss. The short play "Four Places" (performed by Emily Gilmore and Wendy Volpe), shows how two people change each others' lives during the course of a wellness visit from a healthare organization. A few storytellers will share their mini dramedies. A talk back session will allow the audience to share their thoughts and question the actors' experiences. Sales of art and coloring books will benefit the organization Hope for The Bereaved in Syracuse.
