Join us on Wed, Jul 24, 2024 from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM for a day filled with insightful discussions and engaging sessions at Bates College.
Our conference aims to bring together public health professionals, community leaders, and members of the public passionate about health equity. Through panel discussions, workshops, and networking opportunities, participants will have the chance to learn from professionals in the field and collaborate on strategies to promote health equity in our communities.

Getting Around on Bates College Campus
OPHE's Second Annual Health Equity Conference will take place in-person at Bates College in Pettingill Hall. Lunch will be served in Commons Dining Hall.
Conference Supports
- Accessibility: We strive to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals, including individuals with disabilities, to engage fully. The conference space is ADA accessible. All session speakers will use microphones and provide visual descriptions of themselves. Presenters will have a print-out of slides available upon request. Dietary accommodations were communicated to Bates during the registration process. If you have a request or need additional accommodations, please see OPHE staff at the registration table.
- Lunch Menu: Please visit https://www.bates.edu/dining/menu/ to see the menu planned for lunch. There will be vegetarian, vegan, Halal, and gluten friendly options as well as a separate section for gluten free items. Please see OPHE staff at the registration table if you have any concerns.
- Public Wi-Fi: Select the network “Bates Open” and follow prompts to connect.
- Gender Neutral Restrooms: Gender-neutral bathrooms are available in Commons (Dining Hall) on the second floor.
- Private Space: OPHE has reserved rooms for conference guests who need private space during the day. Visit the registration table for more information.
