Operation VARSITY Memorial Service - Sunday 22nd March 2026arranged by RAF Rivenhall History Group
As promised, here is an update on the Memorial Service which will be held at the former RAF Rivenhall site on Sunday 22nd March.
The band of the Air Cadets and Standard Bearers from different veterans organisations will form up at the memorial stone at 11:00. There will be a short service after which the name of each of the fallen will be read out and wreaths laid. The Last Post will be played followed by a Minutes Silence.
The Service is expected to finish ay 11:30 after which tea and coffee will be available.
If you would like to attend the service please make sure that you have arrived before 10:45. The large Indaver car park will be sign posted and available for use.
To get to the site, DO NOT approach north from the A120, this will take you to the Industrial Waste Disposal site. The Postcode you need is CO5 9DF and you should approach from Kelvedon, Silver End or Rivenhall. The What3Words code for the car park is sensible.efficient.rainy
