About this Event

Join us Thanksgiving morning as we come together to prepare, package, and deliver 11,000 meals to those in need throughout Austin and the surrounding areas.

We’ll be partially outside, so dress accordingly. Please tie long hair back, wear a ball cap, and choose clothes you don’t mind getting a little turkey or corn juice on. Closed-toe, rubber-soled shoes are highly recommended for comfort and safety.

Location leaders in brown Operation Turkey shirts will be onsite to direct volunteers to where they’re needed most — from food prep and meal packaging to cleanup and delivery.

Delivery drivers are especially essential and always in high demand, so if you’re able, we’d love your help getting meals out to the community.

As always, bring a smile on your face and love in your heart as we work side by side to fulfill our mission. We couldn’t do it without each and every one of you.

Operation Turkey is a 100% volunteer-run organization with no paid employees. With more than 50,000 volunteers nationwide, we work together to ensure everyone receives a warm meal on Thanksgiving Day.
