About this Event
OPERATION: Iron Boundry
SITUATION OVERVIEW
In the early hours of the conflict, NATO ISR assets conducted an aerial reconnaissance sweep over the Area of Operations. Two NATO helicopters were tasked with identifying suspected insurgent movement and logistics routes within the region.
Unbeknownst to NATO command, the forested AO concealed multiple rebel training hubs, hardened through concealment, terrain advantage, and pre-positioned anti-air assets.
As the helicopters passed overhead, rebel forces executed a coordinated ambush. Both aircraft were shot down by RPG fire, scattering wreckage and personnel across the battlespace.
---
PHASE I – INITIAL RESPONSE (PAST EVENTS)
NATO command immediately deployed a Quick Reaction Force (QRF) to secure the crash sites, recover downed pilots, and extract any onboard intelligence.
The QRF succeeded in:
- Establishing temporary ground dominance
- Locating and securing NATO personnel
- Preventing total loss of the crash sites
However, during the chaos of the engagement, sensitive intelligence was compromised.
Rebel elements infiltrated the AO, seized classified materials from the wreckage, and exfiltrated before NATO forces could fully lock down the area.
The rebel training hubs remained operational.
---
CURRENT MISSION – SALVO POINT
Intelligence now indicates that the stolen data may still be present within the AO—possibly staged for transport or already being exploited.
High Command has authorized decisive action.
This is no longer a recovery mission.
This is a fire mission.
---
NATO FACTION LORE
MISSION INTENT
NATO forces are deploying a follow-on assault team to finish the job.
Objectives include:
- Locate and recover remaining classified intelligence
- Identify and destroy rebel training hubs
- Eliminate indirect-fire and RPG threats
- Deny the rebels the ability to regroup or rearm
Artillery and fire-support assets are now cleared for use.
The objective is simple:
Reduce the enemy’s infrastructure to rubble.
Turn their training grounds into a parking lot.
Time is critical. Every hour the intel remains in rebel hands increases the risk of NATO tactics, flight paths, and force structures being compromised across the region.
Failure is not an option.
---
REBEL FACTION LORE
MISSION INTENT
The ambush was a success.
- Two NATO aircraft destroyed.
- Pilots captured or forced into retreat.
- Classified NATO intelligence seized.
The rebel forces now hold proof that NATO is vulnerable.
Training hubs within the forest remain active, producing fighters hardened by terrain, discipline, and the belief that NATO dominance can be broken.
However, NATO is coming back—angrier, louder, and with overwhelming firepower.
Rebel forces must:
- Secure and move the captured intelligence
- Defend or relocate training hubs
- Disrupt NATO artillery and fire-support operations
- Bleed the enemy and force them into costly engagements
The forest is your ally.
The terrain is your weapon.
Survive the barrage—and the narrative changes forever.
---
FINAL NOTE
OPERATION: SALVO POINT represents the moment where:
NATO seeks decisive dominance through firepower and precision
Rebel forces fight for survival, secrecy, and momentum
Both sides know what’s at stake.
Only one will leave the AO in control.
