About this Event
Opera Selections Inspired by Yesterday's Singers
Jere Burkholder is a first generation tenor voice student of Daniel Mobbs completing his undergraduate studies this spring at PSU. In 2019, Jere left his Amish-Mennonite community in Wisconsin to pursue his dream of an education in music and vocal performance. He particularly finds his inspiration in the early/mid 19 the century era of singers and opera, and has a passion for the revival of Golden Age opera today. Recent performances in the past year include Ferrando in Mozart’s Cosi fan Tutte, Mr. Pete in Goble’s The Eleanors, OperaBend’s Rising Voices concert, CantiamoPDX summer program, and Rinuccio in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi.
