Wear animal-themed clothing or accessories and enjoy free museum admission all day!Join The Museum of Russian Art for a day-long celebration marking the opening of Cats and Dogs in Soviet Art: Workers, Teachers, Friends, an exhibition of paintings and porcelain exploring the many roles animals play in everyday life. Visitors of all ages are invited to explore the galleries, enjoy family-friendly activities, and celebrate throughout the Museum.
No pre-registration is required. All are welcome.

Mezzanine Gallery (Second Floor)

Featuring forty paintings on loan from the Raymond and Susan Johnson Collection of 20th Century Russian Art alongside rare Soviet-era porcelain figurines from TMORA’s collection, the exhibition presents cats and dogs as companions, helpers, and beloved members of daily life. Visitors will encounter scenes of animals at work, at rest, and alongside the people who cared for them, offering a warm and engaging glimpse into everyday experiences.
