Open Waltz Night at QCMS: March
Get ready to spin and glide at the Open Waltz Night happening this St Patrick's Day, March 17th, as part of our Community Music Gatherings! Live music will be provided my mother-daughter duo Lillie Harner & Blair Jones!
Beginners to experienced dancers, couples, singles, and families are all welcome to participate in this evening of informal folk waltzing and fun!
ABOUT THE PERFORMERS:
Lillie Harner is the daughter of Blair Jones, and teaches music at Staunton High School. She is a multi-instrumentalist and singer, and has also graced the stage of local community theater productions with ShenanArts. Lillie will play fiddle accompanied by Blair on piano, and the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Blair is a retired public school music teacher in the Albemarle County Schools, and has a fantastic all-female band, The LaDaDas. Blair is the music director for Unity Charlottesville, an "inclusive spiritual community practicing love-in-action" and is active in the regional music scene.
OPEN WALTZ NIGHT INFO:
- Doors open at 6:45pm
- No partner? No problem! - it is customary to rotate partners casually throughout the evening
- All ages welcome for this family-friendly gathering; kids under age 12 get free admission!

ADMISSION is $10-20, and tickets can be purchased online or at the door with PayPal, Venmo or cash. Proceeds go towards the musicians and our music school to help sustain our Community Music Gatherings and towards our mission of #makingusicmakers.
