About this Event
Part of the 2-year initiative to help churches engage with mission, the Diocesan Day Out has two aims
1. To inspire, energise and encourage the whole Diocese to engage in mission in a more intentional way and as appropriate for each individual church context
2. To be uplifted as the whole Diocese gather to worship and have fun together. Being “all together in one place” gives opportunity for the Holy Spirit to work as at Pentecost
The Diocesan Day Out will have four strands running simultaneously 10am to 2.45pm. Alongside the 3 strands timetabled below (draft only!) will be a children/ families activities with inflatables, puppets.

Forest Church with Cate Williams
Info: Cate Williams is attending today in her role as Hazelnut Community Network Project Coordinator. She also brings experience in Forest Church (Wild Church/Welly Church...) as a long term Forest Church facilitator, and author of the Forest Church Grove booklet. The latter built on interviews with Forest Church facilitators as part of her PhD in missiology (2021). She has extensive experience in the support of churches in green holistic mission and Eco Church, including work as Diocesan Environment Officer. She currently has a portfolio style ministry, working in theological education alongside her role with Hazelnut, as well as engaging locally in Forest Church, conservation volunteering, Gloucester Green Spaces network and Climate Action group.
