About this Event

Welcome to SLSC’s open studio session!

Open to sewers of all levels, held in our studio & with a maximum of three people per session. Whether you’re brand new to sewing or want more direct help on a more complex project, our teacher will be on hand to help in this intimate sewing session.

Equipment, machines and pattern cutting tools are available.

Can’t wait to see what you bring to the open studio session!

More information:

Machines are provided, along with overlockers, cutting tools & other sewing equipment.
Threads, bobbins & yarns are available but if you want a specific colour, please bring it along.
Run by experienced sewers with a wide variety of skills, able to help with any project including mending, pattern cutting, patchwork, darning & embroidery.
If you’ve got your own machine, bring it along! We can run through it together to improve your confidence sewing at home.
Feel free to bring snacks, but drop us a line if you have any allergies, so we can do our best to accommodate you.
This is the perfect session to get more in depth knowledge & help with your sewing projects.

Bike: Thames River cycle path (16 mins cycle from Greenwich).
Bus: 161 / 177 / 180 / 472 to Warspite Road bus stop.
DLR: Woolwich Arsenal (1 minute walk to Plumstead Road and take Route Bus 177 towards Peckham Bus Station or 472 towards North Greenwich Station).
Road: A2 corridor, first roundabout east of Thames Barrier onto Warspite Road. Free on-site parking.
Train: From Cannon Street or London Bridge to Woolwich Dockyard (8 minute walk) or Charlton (12 minute walk).
