About this Event
An evening of Open Studio, Mini Gallery and PechaKucha at the Artwrk Dept in Boscombe.
PechaKucha (Japanese for “chit-chat”) is a fast-paced talking event where presenters share their ideas using 20 images shown for 20 seconds each. There will be 3 talks, each lasting just 6 minutes and 40 seconds, keeping things lively, visual, and inspiring. The aim is to bring together artists, designers, makers, and thinkers to celebrate creativity and connection in an informal, engaging way. Hosted by the Artwrk Dept in their studio in the Sovereign Centre, above Auger Collective.
The three speakers are:
Grace Carroll (@grace_redesign) - a furniture artist, restoration specialist, and designer
James Wilson (@byjameswilson) - an artist known for his continuous one-line drawings of faces and florals
Jenny Tarr (@jennytarrstudio) - a contemporary figurative artist recognised for her delicate, gestural studies of women
