"The Dance Floor" Stage
Upon the historic cul-de-sac by the Old Stone House, these talented performers will have you moving all afternoon and into the evening:
J. Hoard:
An NYC artist with gospel roots that birthed his tremendous love of all genres, J. Hoard’s eclecticism has yielded songwriting collaborations on Black Coffee’s Grammy-winning “Subconsciously” album and Chance the Rapper’s multiple Grammy-winning “Coloring Book” album, not to mention features on albums by Brasstracks, Kassa Overall, Meshell Ndegeocello, Cultura Profetica, José James and Endea Owens.
Lulada Club:
Experience the captivating rhythms of Lulada Club, an electrifying all-women salsa band setting the New York City music scene ablaze. Through meticulous curation, vocalist and director Andrea Chavarro has assembled a cohort of accomplished and brilliant New York-based musicians who, each with unique merits. Infused with an irresistible blend of vibrancy and skill, these remarkable women command the stage, welcoming salserxs of all levels and ages.
Brooklyn Contra Dance Lesson and Performance (music by @midnightonthewater, called by Alexandra Deis Lauby):
Learn how to spin your partner and do-se-do down a line! Contra dancing is a type of community folk dance that draws from a wide geography of traditions that came together in the Northern Appalachia region to become the raucous, foot-stomping partner dance we know today.
