This is your opportunity to ‘do your thing’ - provided it can be done in front of an audience! For all acoustic performers (mostly acoustic - we do have a PA) singers…musicians…a capella… singer-songwriters … poets…storytellers…solo performers ……duos… bands … folk…blues… jazz… traditional… contemporary…While many of our floor spot performers are 'gigging' musicians in their own right, we also give a warm welcome to beginners trying out their material. Everyone gets a friendly and supportive reception from a 'listening audience'.
Just turn up between 7.30 and 8.00 and ask Alan to put you down for a spot. A floor spot at Wivenhoe is usually two items (songs, tunes, poems or stories). Or just come and enjoy the organised chaos that is Wivenhoe Folk Club – a good time will be had by all!
Open Stage admission is £5 for both performers and non-performers - what a bargain!
