On Xmas eve we will be finishing early due to transport. Named in London’s top open mics, independent art’s venue Ram Jam Records hosts a weekly open mic famous for it’s warm atmosphere and supportive community.

Please note our NEW raffle system. We try to be as fair as possible allocating our high in demand spots and we have moved to allocating raffle tickets at 6pm to ensure we continue to be as fair and acessible to as many people as possible.

FAQ
How many songs can I play?
Normally artists can play 1-3 songs. Comedians can have up to 5 mins. We may reduce songs to two per act if we have extremely high demand for slots so that we dissapoint less people.
How does the raffle work?
We read out each number just after 6pm and those who’s numbers are called then choose a time from our timesheet.
Do you take bookings in advance?
No sorry, we do not take any advance bookings.
What if work commitments or childcare mean I can not get there for 6pm to sign up?
Unfortunately we can not make any exceptions but we may be able to squeeze you in on the night if a spot becomes available. It’s always worth checking for a slot later on if you are in the area.
You can also join the jam session at the end of the night (12am)
Do you have a backline
Yes! We provide a decent back line including guitar amps, a bass amp, a piano and drum kit. Just bring yourselves and your instruments.
Can I use a backing track?
Absolutely, you can bring this on a USB or transfer it by email on the day.
What if I am travelling from far away and I don’t get a slot?
We try our best to give every newcomer at least one song if they miss out on a slot but we can never guarentee anything. If you have travelled from far away please let us know and we will do our best to fit you in. Most people get slots if they arrive for the raffle.
Can I share my slot?
Yes you can give away your songs to a friend or you can have a jam session for any of your songs invite people onstage or let people join you =.
How high is the standard?
This event is aimed at all levels, we regularly host first time live performers and professional musicians and we pride ourselves on being a safe space for everyone. If you are nervous about perfroming or would like any further info pleaase email [email protected] and we can advise our staff that you are coming and they can make you feel at ease.
Can I borrow a guitar or instrument?
Ram Jam doesn’t own any guitars, all our available equipment is here: back line
There will be staff and perfromers with other instruments on various nights but we can never guarentee that you can use somebody’s instrument.
