About this Event
This evening is centered around the spoken word in its many forms — storytelling, poetry, conversation, monologue, testimony, philosophy, humor, memory, improvisation, lived experience, and the simple but increasingly rare act of people gathering together to speak honestly and listen deeply.
We welcome seasoned performers, first-time readers, elders with stories, young people finding their voice, and anyone carrying thoughts, experiences, observations, writings, or feelings they would like to share in a respectful and attentive environment. This is not about perfection, virality, industry polish, or performance for performance’s sake — it is about creating space for genuine expression, meaningful dialogue, and human connection in real life. Pull up, bring your poems, your journal entries, your stories, your truths, your questions, your songs, your laughter, your grief, your joy, and your voice.
