We're back in Douglas again at this friendly, private club so dust off your ditties and get it in your diary. Everyone is welcome, from total beginners to our regulars to people who just want an entertaining evening. There's no theme but if you need some ideas then Friday 13th lends itself well to poems about superstition and Easter isn't far off so that's another idea. If you have a favourite poem, on any subject, by someone else then please feel free to read that too. The atmosphere is welcoming and respectful of performers with lots of humour thrown in.There's a bar with reasonably priced drinks and there will be free tasty snacks [cake, biscuits and who knows what else] during the half time break. There are no real steps and the toilets are on one level. There's plenty of parking in the surrounding area as disc zones become void at 6pm. £5 entry fee to cover costs, cash or card. Over 18s only please.
The gate to the venue is on Bucks Road, in the big white wall at the end of Circular Road. Take the left gate and keep going through the car park to the door round the corner on the right. There will be signs!!
