Join the fun! Sing or play along with our phenomenal female jam band, or take the stage yourself open mic style...or bring your band. Go acoustic or fully electrified.
Our crew will do it's best to make you shine using their equipment. All you need to do is bring your instrument, your songs and your inner diva. (Drummers and keyboardists would use our setup). Mark your calendar now for our 5th Sunday jam and RSVP now!

The KC Music Girls has been providing opportunities for local women in music to perform, learn, network and promote their dreams for twelve years and counting. Get involved and join us! ❤
The KC Music Girls are local women in music supporting, empowering, teaching, learning, producing events, promoting each other, providing a safe place to start and a hand up along the ladder of success. Since 2012, we've produced hundreds of events for instruction, practice, performance, networking and promotion. Our activities are open to women of all ages, instruments, skill levels and genres. There is nothing to buy and no membership fees.
Our song circles (at www.meetup.com/kc-music-girls) provide a communal, semi-private space to take turns choosing songs we play together, and sit in on learning sessions. Our open mic/jam/stage locations provide the opportunity for women to showcase their talent in public performances and to collaborate with our female jam band, all with a supportive audience.
We curate a Spotify playlist “KC Women Band-Together”, have writing and networking sessions, have provided a platform for busking, karaoke, and did many radio performances together. We meet on a regular basis so, if you want to write, record, perform or start a band you can find like-minded female musicians here. We have hundreds of members and are always looking for your ideas! We’re here to amplify women’s voices because a healthy world needs to include everyone’s story. Just don’t tell us girls can’t play.
