Open men's circle
This is an open men's circle, so any man is welcome. It's a place to connect, share, and grow in a safe, confidential environment. A men's circle is a space to be real, without judgment. It's about honest connection, open communication and sharing whatever you feel to share.
Even if you have never been to a men's circle before, you are welcome.
We will follow traditional men's group agreements that will be discussed before we start. Things like speaking from the heart, active listening, no coaching or judging.
I look forward to seeing you in the circle. And I'd like to say "All of you is welcome here". So just show up as you are.
What to Bring:
A bottle of water.
Some simple picnic food for a shared dinner.
Clothing appropriate for the weather (see info below about the space)
An open heart and an open mind.
The space:
The Farm for Wellbeing, in the Adelaide Hills, welcomes you to this Land situated amongst Nature with bushland as a place for connection and healing-a peaceful place to meet yourself and others.
For this event chairs will be provided to sit around a fire. If the weather is wet there will be an undercover option. So the event will go ahead rain or shine. Please dress appropriately. We will have access to a kitchen for tea and coffee and simple facilities that we can use for our picnic dinner.
Entry by donation on the night.
Please press 'Going' if you are heading along. That way we can gauge numbers and set up the space accordingly.
If you know a man who would greatly benefit from getting involved please share this event with him.
This will become a regular men's circle on a fortnightly or monthly basis depending on interest. Dates to be announced.
With love & respect,
Brett Aylen
About me:
I have been doing menswork regularly for the last 10 years or so. It brings me great joy to sit in circle with other men and feel a deep sense of belonging. I went to my first men's circle at age 15 with my father and my brother. I'm so grateful to my father for offering me that experience. I have a 19 year old son and I've been taking him to various age appropriate men's circles since he was about 12. For the last 5 years I have been giving back to the community by facilitating menswork events as part of several organisations including Brazen Brotherhood, Southern Mens Gathering and Good Better Best Men. I also co-facilitate a closed men's circle in Mylor. I look forward to sitting in circle with you.
