Tatiana Arocha, current Artist in Residence through the Newhouse Center for Contemporary Art, presents an open studio and artist talk about her work. This event is presented in partnership with Open House New York Weekend, an annual festival that opens 200+ places across the five boroughs for tours and special activities at skyscrapers, tunnels, and everything in between.

TATIANA AROCHA is a New York-based, Colombian-born artist whose practice explores intimacy between people and land, rooted in personal memory and her immigrant experience, and centers on community through public art interventions and transdisciplinary knowledge exchange. Arocha’s works vivify and reconstruct the vulnerable tropical forests of her homeland, confronting the ecological, emotional, and cultural loss caused by extractive economies and colonial practices.
