Join us at Legal Aid of West Virginia for an Open House and Ribbon Cutting at our new Charleston offices!Our Charleston offices are our statewide headquarters, now located on floors 1-3 of the recently renovated Staats Hospital building on Charleston’s West Side at 123 Washington St. W.
Event doors open at 3:30 p.m., when visitors can take self-guided tours of the new space at their leisure, with assistance from LAWV staff.
At 5:00 p.m., speakers will deliver remarks, followed immediately by the ribbon cutting.
Hear from:
• LAWV Executive Director Kate White, welcoming all to this new space to serve West Virginians
• Building owner Tighe C. Bullock, offering a brief history of the building and its renovation
• Charleston Mayor Amy Shuler Goodwin, speaking on the community impact of this historic building re-opening
• LAWV Board President Andy Nason, honoring former LAWV Executive Director Adrienne Worthy
• West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals Chief Justice C. Haley Bunn, highlighting the impact of legal work to West Virginia’s communities
Refreshments will be served after the remarks, and the first floor of the offices will remain open for guests until 6:00 p.m.
