These evenings feature a volunteer-powered free meal, community services & resource stations (run by folks like you!), and lots of chances to mingle and make new friends.
EVERYONE is welcome to volunteer.
At past events folks have offered/accessed: a warm meal (thanks to Brenda, Thistle, Derek, Tina, Debbie and a big family of meal prep & service volunteers including local nonprofits & businesses and churches including Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, WV Peers, the Islamic Association of WV Women Committee, & Phat Daddy's on da Tracks), courtyward welcoming with Aju, check-ins with Chelsea, childcare with Kelly and Archana, harm reduction and safer use supplies, clothing repair (with Dr. Marybeth Beller), bicycle reflectors (thanks to Heather & Compassion Outreach), pet food and care supplies (with Cali Wesson and team), tarot readings (James!), free legal advice, hair cuts, HIV/Hep C testing, naloxone, free clothing and winter gear (big shout out to Heather, Eileen, Joshua, and Joe's mom), foot care with Kanawha United Presbyterian, woundcare and more with WHCWV healthcare providers, snacks, hygiene kits & care packages (Go SHOP @ Bream, Heather, & 'Compassion Outreach'!), job resources with Charleston Job Corps, period products and safer sex supplies (go Women's Health Center and WV Free!), hygiene supplies and warm gear with Cabin Creek Health Systems, health insurance navigation with First Choice Services, warm lantern making with Mary and Paul, vaccines (with KCHD), access to peer coaches (Go WV Peers!) and mental health support (Go Prestera and friends!), art-making stations (and even karaoke), vibe checks with Corey, energy efficiency resources, affirmations with Sky, and much more.
