OPEN ART SPRING am Hauptplatz 10 – Offener Kunsttag im Herzen von Villach
Kunst, Musik, Theater, Fotografie und Begegnung: Der „OPEN ART SPRING“ verwandelt den Hauptplatz 10 in Villach in einen lebendigen Treffpunkt für Kulturinteressierte, Kunstliebhaber und neugierige Besucher jeden Alters. Die KünstlerInnen, Kreativen und Kulturinitiativen öffnen ihre Türen und laden zu einem abwechslungsreichen Programm mitten in der Stadt ein.
Der Kunsttag beginnt um 11:00 Uhr mit einem Opening im Kunstraum Villach bei Kaffee und Kuchen. Präsentiert wird die aktuelle Ausstellung der Künstlerin Chiara Santi. Zudem ist die KAZ Straßenzeitung mit ihrer Initiative „KAZ macht Druck!“ vertreten – Charity-Drucke der Künstlerin Zoe Guglielmi können erworben werden.
Ab 12:00 Uhr sorgt der französische Straßenmusiker Cedric mit musikalischem Flair für frühlingshaft sommerliche Stimmung am Hauptplatz.
Die neuebuehne villach öffnet ihr Büro und den Theaterfundus mit einem Kostümflohmarkt und bietet einen Ausblick auf das kommende Spectrum Festival.
Als internationale Gastkünstlerin ist Goga Mason aus Triest mit Animationskunst vertreten. Um 14:00 Uhr lädt sie zum Workshop „Wilde Stickereien“ ein. Interessierte werden um telefonische Anmeldung unter +43 664 3598889 gebeten.
Ab 15:00 Uhr wartet außerdem eine jazzig-funkige Live-Überraschung auf das Publikum.
Photographin Nina Hader begrüßt BesucherInnen im offenen Photostudio. Gemeinsam mit der neuebuehne villach entsteht um 15:00 Uhr die „Selfie“ Photo-Stage unter dem Motto: „Kostüm ausborgen und ab ins Rampenlicht!“ Professionelle StageShootings können unter +43 699 12772778 gebucht werden.
Die Objektkünstlerin Mar Vicente lädt in ihr Atelier ein und präsentiert aktuelle Lichtinstallationen und die Kunsthistorikerin und Restauratorin Monika Freylinger aka Artcons zeigt, wie sie (fast) alles vergoldet.
FilmfreundInnen dürfen sich außerdem auf die Programmvorstellung des Kinosommers Villach freuen – mit Einblicken in die diesjährige Filmauswahl des beliebten Open-Air-Kinohighlights.
„Gastgarten-Time“ heißt es im MC Mullens Irish Pub, das seine Türen während der gesamten Veranstaltung für alle BesucherInnen geöffnet hält.

Art, music, theater, photography, and community: The “OPEN ART SPRING” transforms Hauptplatz 10 in Villach into a vibrant meeting place for culture enthusiasts, art lovers, and curious visitors of all ages. Artists, creatives, and cultural initiatives open their doors and invite you to a diverse program right in the heart of the city.
The art day begins at 11:00 a.m. with an opening reception at Kunstraum Villach featuring coffee and cake. The current exhibition by artist Chiara Santi will be presented. Additionally, the KAZ street newspaper will be present with its “KAZ Makes a Difference!” initiative – charity prints by artist Zoe Guglielmi will be available for purchase.
From 12:00 p.m. onwards, French street musician Cedric will create a springtime/summer atmosphere on the Hauptplatz with his musical flair.
The neuebuehne villach opens its offices and costume storage with a costume flea market and offers a preview of the upcoming Spectrum Festival.
International guest artist Goga Mason from Trieste will be presenting her animation art. At 2:00 p.m., she will lead a workshop entitled "Wild Embroidery." Those interested are asked to register by phone at +43 664 3598889.
Starting at 3:00 p.m., a jazzy-funky live surprise awaits the audience.
Photographer Nina Hader will welcome visitors to her open photo studio. Together with the neuebuehne villach, she will create a "Selfie" photo stage at 3:00 p.m. under the motto: "Borrow a costume and step into the spotlight!" The installation artist Mar Vicente invites you to her studio and presents her latest light installations, while art historian and restorer Monika Freylinger, aka Artcons, demonstrates how she gilds (almost) anything.
