Op Shop Sessions Vol. 3 brings you some of the finest live talent and performances New Zealand has to offer.
Kicking off the evening, we’re honoured to welcome Maggie Cocco, a true vocal powerhouse. Originally from the United States and now based in New Zealand, Maggie has been making waves on the local live music scene with her experimental sound. Blending elements of folk and classical, her performances are tied together by a beautifully rich, soulful voice that’s guaranteed to soothe the soul.
And if soul is what you’re after, you’ve landed in the right corner of Paradise.
For our second session of the night, we’re beyond excited to welcome a true legend — Jamie Hall. With his unique fusion of reggae, blues, and timeless classics, Jamie creates a sound that must be seen to be believed. Armed with only his guitar, voice, and loop pedal, he builds rich, layered performances that deliver more energy than a full band. This soul-brother magic is truly something otherworldly.
Closing out the night, we’re proud to present a special debut performance from the Velvet collective. Velvet brings together some of the most talented live musicians New Zealand has to offer. Featuring a rotating lineup of vocalists performing a catalogue of original tracks that cross multiple genres, Velvet is a true supergroup — formed by some of Northland's most accomplished and professional musicians purely for the love of live music and performance.
