Each student will be outfitted with their own workstation that includes:
-Laptop Computer with Professional DJ Software (Pioneer Rekordbox DJ)
-Pioneer DDJ-400 DJ Controller & Headphones
-Thousands of Ready-to-mix songs spanning all popular genres
Topics Covered in the Class will Include:
-What does a DJ do and why is it important?
-Understanding the layout of modern, digital DJ Equipment
-Analyzing the different parts of a song- tempo, key, verse, hook, drop, breakdown, etc...
-Basic Mixing concepts for transitioning from one track to another
-Advanced Mixing techniques using EQ and Effects
-Organizing your Music and Selecting Songs for your Next Set
-Setting Cue Points
-Performing Live
