Onshape Scalextric4Schools National Competition 2026 – Team Registration

Scalextric4Schools is a national STEM competition challenging students to design, manufacture and race their own slot car, combining engineering, creativity and teamwork.

Teams will use CAD, design thinking and iterative prototyping to develop a high-performance car body, which will then compete in a live race final. The competition promotes real-world skills in:

• Engineering design
• CAD and digital manufacturing
• Problem solving and innovation
• Project management
• Teamwork and communication

Each school may register a maximum of two teams.

A total of 60 teams will compete nationally. Once capacity is reached, registration will close and schools will be invited to join the waiting list.

Further competition guidance, technical regulations and key dates will be shared with registered schools following confirmation of entry.
