Description:
Discover the magic of clay on the wheel in this hands-on pottery class designed for beginners and those looking to build confidence at the wheel. Learn fundamentals of wheel throwing, including centering clay, pulling walls, shaping forms, and finishing pieces.
The instructor will guide you step by step through each piece, demonstrating techniques and offering individual support along the way. As you gain confidence, you’ll have the opportunity to work more independently while still receiving guidance and tips to refine your skills.
Each participant will create multiple wheel-thrown pieces, which will be trimmed, glazed, and fired at a later date by the instructor.
No prior experience is necessary — bring your curiosity and a willingness to get a little messy.
This class is perfect for anyone who has ever wanted to try the pottery wheel and experience the joy of creating functional art by hand.
