Wednesday eve restorative class 7:30-8:30pm
The session will be held over google meet - the link is on this page once you have a ticket and will also be emailed to you the evening before
In this gentle, relaxing 60 minute class we will be doing a meditation, pranayama (breathing techniques) , and 45mins of restorative yoga with adjustments offered for each pose. Restorative yoga is a slow paced practice that involves holding asanas (postures) for around 7 mins each, where you can let your body fully rest.
I invite you to show up as you are and make time for yourself in this queer friendly space. Please wear whatever you feel most comfortable in that will allow you to move freely!
What to prepare
- A mat or blanket (I will have a small number available for those who don't have one - please message me)
- A pillow or 2 - can be a small sofa cushion to use for support
- A bottle of water
- A blanket or 2
About the teacher:
Hi! I'm Soph (they/them) - TrueYouYoga @trueyou.yoga and I'm a queer yoga teacher currently based in Woking, Surrey. I've been practising yoga for 9 years and completed my 200hr YTT in April 2023 where I focused my teaching on Yin and Restorative yoga. I'm currently also studying the Trauma Conscious yoga method.
Yoga has always been so healing for me and I'm SUPER passionate about making yoga/spiritual spaces more inclusive and inviting to queer people.
Feeling safe and comfortable in your body isn't always an easy thing, especially for LGBTQ+ people. Through my teaching I aim to create a place for you to rest, be gentle with yourself and be more present in your body. Yoga is not about being flexible or looking a certain way, it's about cultivating inner peace and moving in ways that feel good to you!
