About this Event
Looking for a safe, supportive space to connect with others who understand the unique challenges and joys of being both neurodivergent and queer? Join our NeuroQueer Peer Support Group—a welcoming online community where you can share experiences, offer support, and be yourself without judgment.
What to Expect:
🌈 Peer-Led Support:
This group is all about community supporting community. We’ll come together to listen, validate, and offer insights based on our own lived experiences as neuroqueer individuals.
💬 Flexible Participation:
Participation looks different for everyone, and that’s okay! Whether you prefer to:
- Actively share your thoughts and experiences
- Listen quietly with your mic off
- Interact via chat instead of speaking aloud
...you’re welcome here just as you are.
🤝 Connection, Not Pressure:
There’s no obligation to participate in any specific way—this is a space where you can show up however feels comfortable for you. If you just need a space to sit and be with others, that’s enough.
Who It’s For:
- Neurodivergent individuals who are also part of the LGBTQIA+ community.
- Anyone seeking a space where both their neurodivergent and queer identities are seen, valued, and supported.
- Folks who want to connect with others navigating similar experiences.
FAQs:
- Do I have to share personal experiences?
Not at all. You can engage in whatever way feels safe and comfortable for you. Listening and observing are valid forms of participation. - Is this a therapy group?
No, this is a peer support group. While we provide emotional support, it’s not a substitute for professional therapy. - Can I join if I’m questioning or unsure about my neurodivergence or queerness?
Absolutely! This space is open to anyone exploring their identity and seeking community. - What if I need to leave early or join late?
No problem! Life happens, and you’re welcome to come and go as you need.
