You’ve Asked, We’ve Listened! 👂In this workshop, educators will explore how geometry and mathematical patterns are embedded in the biomechanics of living systems. 🐆
Using the Biomechanics: The Machine Inside exhibition as a case study, participants will examine lines of symmetry, shape, proportion, and structure as tools for understanding movement, adaptation, and survival in the natural world. 🦒
Designed with middle school learners in mind, this experience highlights how geometric concepts, especially lines of symmetry, can be observed, discussed, and extended across grade levels from PreK through 12th grade. 📚
Educators will engage in observation-based strategies that mirror student experiences and consider how museum spaces can support math instruction through real-world, data-rich phenomena. 🍎
