8:30pm.Macie Stewart primarily works with piano, violin, voice, guitar, and synthesizers. From a very young age Macie was drawn towards music and sound; learning to communicate with music while simultaneously learning to communicate with words. Stewart’s experience as an open collaborator and composer in her own right has led her music to become fluid and expansive- drawing on all that has come before while intentionally searching for something new. Macie has a solo project under their own name, and is also a founding member of the Chicago band, "Finom", which just released their 3rd full length LP "Not God" on Joyful Noise Recordings on May 24.

Jess Shoman is a singer-songwriter in their band, Tenci. They released their 2020 debut album My Heart Is An Open Field, which introduced Shoman’s musical explorations to the world, and most recently, A Swollen River, A Well Overflowing in 2022.
Shoman admits that their first album dealt with letting go of painful life experiences, resulting in emptiness. This most recent collection carries an opposite feeling, a celebration of self-rejuvenation. A Swollen River, A Well Overflowing shows Shoman steering their inventive music further and wilder, spilling over 12 fable-like songs. In a combination of milk, coins, glass, water, and light, each song forms a spell to “fill my heart back up,” Shoman says, “by reframing complex feelings by turning my head sideways and seeing them in a different way.”

Brian Sulpizio uses the name Health&Beauty for the music he writes, but is also a co-writer in the new project Yr Knives. He has musically supported other writers over the years including Fran, Ryley Walker, Double Morris, and many more. He has also worked extensively as a music recording/mixing engineer with these projects and many others.
Health&Beauty's most recent double LP, "Shame Engine / Blood Pleasure," was released on Wichita Recordings just in time for the COVID-19 pandemic. Noted critic Peter Margasak hailed it as one of the best rock records to emerge from Chicago in its decade. Tonight Sulpizio will perform some of what he's been incubating since that time.
