The Art of One-on-One Yoga & Mindful AssistsApril 18th-19th
Saturday 10am-4pm and Sunday 10am-3pm
Take your teaching to the next level with a weekend devoted to the heart of yoga: presence, connection, and care. This training will give you the skills and confidence to connect with students on an individual level.
This module covers two core teaching principles:
1) Conducting Individual Sessions (Privates): You’ll learn practical frameworks for customizing yoga to meet the unique needs, goals, and circumstances of each student.
* Assessment strategies for understanding student needs
* Principles for sequencing and personalizing practices
* Communication and holding space in a one-on-one setting
2) Mindful, Consent-Based Assists:. We’ll practice how to offer physical adjustments and touch in a way that is supportive, safe, and respectful of each student’s boundaries. You’ll leave with tools for asking and honoring consent, along with a variety of hands-on techniques to enhance students’ experience of alignment and embodiment.
* Frameworks for requesting and respecting consent
* Hands-on techniques for common postures
* Best practices for safety, clarity, and empowerment
Learning Outcomes: By the end of this module, trainees will be able to design customized private sessions and offer physical assists that are safe, professional, and grounded in respect. You’ll leave this weekend with practical tools, renewed inspiration, and the ability to customize yoga for the individual in a way that feels both professional and deeply human.
