Build clarity, confidence and capability in managing shoulder injuries
About this Event
Designed and delivered by Phil Williams, Chartered Consultant Physiotherapist, this practical and evidence-informed course is for Physiotherapists, Sports Rehabilitators, Sports Therapists, Strength & Conditioning Coaches, and other healthcare and performance professionals working with overhead athletes and active individuals.
This masterclass provides a practical and clinically grounded guide to shoulder assessment and rehabilitation — covering rotator cuff tendinopathy and tears, SLAP lesions, instability patterns, post-operative presentations, and frozen shoulder.
You’ll learn how the kinetic chain underpins overhead function, refine assessment skills, and develop clear, phase-based rehab progressions for return to throwing and upper body performance.
What You’ll Learn:
- Comprehensive functional assessment of the shoulder and upper kinetic chain
- Live diagnostic ultrasound demonstrations to enhance understanding of anatomy and pathology (not ultrasound training or certification)
- Structured rehab frameworks for tendon, cuff, labral and instability presentations
- Appropriate injection therapy pathways: when to consider injections, when to avoid them, and how to integrate them into rehab planning
- Hands-on practice with digital dynamometry to assess and track upper limb strength and return-to-performance readiness
- Case-based planning to apply concepts to real-world patient scenarios
