One Iowa’s Annual Gala, A History in Headlines, explores how LGBTQ+ stories are often told in headlines that don’t always capture the full truth. Too often, those stories are flattened, oversimplified, or miss the joy, complexity, and humanity of LGBTQ+ lives.
This evening is about expanding that narrative. Celebrating the voices, communities, and everyday moments that don’t always make the front page, but deserve to be seen, heard, and honored.
