David will walk through the basics of camera and lighting setup, stop-motion software, animation fundamentals, and more as he animates a scene-- live in front of you. Then get your hands dirty with an interactive exercise where everyone will get a crack at animating. David Wall is a Chicago-based filmmaker with over ten years of experience as a director, editor, and stop-motion animator. Over his career, he's created commercials, social ads, music videos, short films, documentary series, and more for clients all over the US. Using the age-old art form of stop-motion animation, David has found a nostalgic and approachable way to tell stories that connect with audiences of all kinds. In addition, his skillsets as an editor and director maintain a variety of work with repeat clients.
