Let's experience the art of stillness together on One-Day Retreat

At Meditation Center of Chicago | Time: 9 AM-3 PM
The retreat includes a range of activities designed for everyone (regardless of what you believe in)to help you relax and rejuvenate. We will start with a Chair Yoga, followed by a guided meditation to help you connect with your inner self. You will then have the opportunity to listen to a Dhamma talk, which will offer insights into Buddhist teachings and practices.
***We provide separate morning sessions for regular meditators and people who are new to meditation. ***
Tentative Schedule
8:30 am Check-in
9:00 am Orientation & Yoga Exercise
9:20 am Meditation, Dharma Talk, Q & A
11:30 am Lunch Time (**We provide Thai lunch for you**)
12: 20 pm Break Time
01:00 pm Walking Meditation
2:20 pm Loving Kindness Meditation and Reflection / Group discussion
03:00 pm End of Program
PS. If you have any dietary restrictions, please bring your meals.
Please register on Eventbrite to help us prepare the proper meals for everyone attending
Foods will be cooked fresh.
***All PARTICIPANTS will take responsibility for health issues during or after having the foods/beverages or snacks that the center provides.
COVID-19 Daily Self-Screening Checklist
• Have you had a body temperature over 100 degrees Fahrenheit or have you used a fever reducer in the previous 24 hours to treat a body temperature over 100 degrees Fahrenheit?
• Do you have a new cough that you cannot attribute to another health condition?
• Do you have a new or worsening sore throat that you cannot attribute to another health condition?
• Do you have new shortness of breath that you cannot attribute to other health conditions?
• Have you recently developed a complete loss of smell or taste?
• Have you been asked to self-isolate or quarantine by anyone, including your employer, a medical professional, or a local public health official?
If the answer to any of these questions is YES, you may not participate in this retreat.
After lunch, we will continue the day with a walking meditaion. This is a great occasion to connect with like-minded individuals and deepen your understanding of mindfulness and meditation.
The retreat will take place in a serene and peaceful location of the Meditation Center of Chicago. We will provide all the necessary equipment, including chairs, cushions, and lunch. So all you need to bring is an open mind and a willingness to explore your inner self.
