Looking for a new challenge? Join our one-day beginners’ course at North East Archers and take your first shot at this ancient and rewarding sport. It’s not just about learning archery—it’s about discovering what you’re capable of while enjoying a relaxed and supportive group environment.
Tailored to You
Everyone learns at their own pace, and we keep things personal. With small groups and plenty of one-on-one time with our coaches, you’ll get the attention you need to develop your skills in a comfortable and encouraging atmosphere.
Just Bring Yourself
We’ve got everything covered, from bows to arrows—just show up ready to have fun! Whether you’re new to archery or have dabbled before, this course is designed for anyone excited to learn.
A Day of Archery
You’ll get a full day of archery, broken into manageable 50-minute sessions with plenty of time for breaks. Relax with a cup of tea, coffee, or some cordial (plus biscuits, of course), all provided by us. You’re also welcome to bring along your favourite snacks to keep your energy up throughout the day.
Skills You Can Take Anywhere
Our coaching isn’t just for the archery range—you’ll learn techniques that you can practice anywhere. Even before you get your own equipment, you’ll have plenty of tips to build your confidence and improve your skills.
Young Archers Welcome
Our beginners’ course is open to anyone aged 13 and up. Got a younger archery enthusiast? No problem—reach out to us to hear more about our junior-specific courses, designed for younger kids in a safe and fun environment.
Join Our Archery Community
At the end of the course, you’ll walk away with more than just new skills. You’ll join a friendly group of archery enthusiasts who love the sport as much as you do. Plus, once you’ve completed the course, you’ll be eligible to join us at North East Archers and continue developing your skills alongside our community. Already thinking about joining another club? We can help with that too! We’re happy to guide you in joining any Archery GB-affiliated club that is convenient for you.
