ONE BRAVE STEP, a 5Rhythms Heartbeat workshop with Anne Marie Hogya

We want to be brave.
And then it shows up: Fear. Anxiety. Insecurity.
And all the ways we protect ourselves:
The thoughts.
The emotions.
The behaviours.
All the ways we hold ourselves back from the very thing that calls us.
We don’t have to get rid of any of it.
We practice staying. With the shakiness. With the moment.
That’s where we are brave.
In this 5Rhythms Heartbeat workshop,
we move through the emotional map: fear, anger, sadness, joy,
compassion.
We build tolerance. We build resilience.
Come as you are.
Take one brave step.

MORE ABOUT ONE BRAVE STEP:
In this workshop, we will explore how emotions are experienced in the body and how they shape the way we think, respond, and relate to ourselves and others.

Using movement and music as our foundation, you will learn how to recognize what is happening in real time and respond with more awareness and choice. Rather than trying to fix or change your experience, the focus is on building the capacity to stay present and work with what is there.

Over the weekend, you will have an opportunity to notice your patterns and explore new ways of relating to them. You will learn how to use the body as a resource for stability, clarity, and expression, especially in moments that feel challenging or unfamiliar.

This workshop includes education on the 5Rhythms emotional map, paired with a lot of movement and dancing. You will be moving throughout the weekend through guided exercises, structured explorations, and open dance, allowing for both support and freedom in how you engage.

Through this process, you begin to understand what bravery looks like for you in your own body, and how it can be practiced in small, practical ways.

This workshop is open to everyone, with no previous experience needed.

It is for anyone who is interested in exploring what bravery looks like for them, in their own life and on their own terms. It may resonate if you feel held back by fear, anxiety, or self-doubt, want to build emotional resilience, or are curious about your patterns and how to shift them.

You may also be drawn to this work if you want to feel more connected to yourself and others, or are ready to explore what becomes possible when you stay present rather than step away.
