Join us Thursday May 7, 2026 at 5:00 pm for a special showing of the 2025 documentary "Beam Me Up, Sulu" (TV-14, 90 minutes.) In 1985, Star Trek's George Takei joined a group of dedicated fans to make a student film that mysteriously vanished. Beam Me Up, Sulu uncovers this lost film and celebrates the diversity and inclusion at the heart of the show. This event is part of a series designed to foster community conversations, and is a program of the regional One Book, One Coast book club.
