Once in a Lifetime: A Portage County All-Star Reunion Concert is coming to the Springville Sports Barn in Plover (formerly Golden Sands Skateland/Memories Banquet Hall) on Saturday, March 22, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Don’t miss this unforgettable night filled with nostalgia, as beloved local bands reunite for one epic evening! Headlining the event are Circus and Daddy Whiskers, with performances from Generic Blues and Boogie, Safety Last String Band, Tom Pease, Can’t Lie Low Trio, Stevens Point Barbershoppers, Music Express, and more!All proceeds benefit the Portage County Historical Society’s upcoming feature exhibit, “Rhythms of the River: The History of Music in Portage County.” Opening in late May 2025 at Heritage Park in Plover, this exhibit will dive into the rich musical history of our region—from early ethnic traditions like polkas to the vibrant local sounds that have shaped Portage County over the years.
