About this Event
A memorable evening hike under the rare glow of a Blue Moon on May 31st. As the sun sets and twilight fades, we’ll hit the trail and experience the landscape in a whole new light—literally. The moon’s brightness will guide our path, casting silver hues across the surroundings and creating a calm, almost surreal atmosphere. Despite the name, the moon will not be blue in color. It will, however, be a micromoon, appearing slightly smaller and dimmer than a typical full moon. The last blue moon occurred on August 19, 2024. The hike will begin at Mac Lake near the Blue Heron pavilion.
